Unreal Game Developer (Product Content)

Location: Remote, North America

The role

Bezi is building the next generation of development tools for game devs; integrating with the game engine, it's designed to help teams build games faster and more efficiently. We are looking for a Unreal game developer to own the content that teaches and demonstrates Bezi to these game developers.

This is a hands-on role. You will translate Bezi's product and functionality into work game developers can see themselves doing.

Every launch and tutorial is aimed at game development professionals, with their workflows and experience at its heart. You bring that experience. Your job is to work out how any given aspect of Bezi creates value or fits into how developers already work, and conceptualize the in-engine and in-Bezi demonstration that shows it at full strength. You decide what to build, build it, script the walkthrough, present it on camera, and hand the footage to our editor.

What you'll do

  • Drive the ideation, flow, and execution of feature launch assets, turning a new feature into a demonstration of what it changes about a game developer's day

  • Produce tutorials to showcase how real-life workflows can be improved with Bezi

  • Create high-quality scenes for the product tutorials and launch videos

  • Create enablement material for studios adopting Bezi across a whole team

  • Run production end to end: engine and workspace setup, scripting, voiceover, capture, and clean handoff to the editor

  • Keep our public content library current as the product evolves

  • Contribute technical substance to the first drafts of blog posts and email campaigns

What you'll bring

  • Experience building production-ready games in Unreal, ideally as part of a team or studio

  • [Nice to have] Familiarity with Unity engine and game dev pipelines

  • Familiarity with various pipelines and specializations within game development, including how designers, technical artists, and gameplay programmers each experience the same scene, typical jargon, and common pain points

  • A feel for the technical content that attracts a game developer: pacing, framing, what to show and what to explain

  • Comfortable doing voice-over or being on-camera, you can talk through technical concepts without losing people

  • Basic scriptwriting skills, enough to structure a clear, explanatory walkthrough

  • A collaborative working style and good organizational skills, able to coordinate review and handoffs across multiple people

About Bezi

We empower people building games. We’re a group of creative and technical, first-principles thinkers. Every member of the team is trusted, and expected, to deeply understand the people we build for and think creatively about ways to improve their lives and work. Our organization is very flat; everyone is trusted to pursue and validate ideas and every idea is supported and debated equally.

We believe the best work happens in teams that know each other. Bay Area team members gather in our FiDi office three times a week and remote teammates join us multiple times a year.

How to apply

Send your resume and a game you've contributed to to careers@bezi.com. If there’s a potential fit, our team will respond as soon as possible. If not, we’ll still do our best to reply in a timely manner.
