Product Engineer

The role

At Bezi, Product Engineers create the applications that our users rely on as they build games. As a key member of the technical team, you will work with product and engineering teams to define, build, and ship delightful experiences that directly impact indie game studios and developers globally.

This is a role for engineers with frontend and backend experience, strong product thinking, and who care deeply about the end user experience.

Bezi uses the game developer’s project, game engine documentation, and best practices to provide contextual suggestions and execute changes directly within the game engine. It helps prototype new concepts quickly, debug projects, and execute standardizable tasks, so teams can iterate faster and spend more time on the meaty creative and technical parts of building a game.

The impact you'll have:

• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product, and other engineers to design, implement, and iterate on new features and inform the product direction

• Iterate quickly, bringing clarity to hard, ambiguous problems

• Empower studios and developers to build games faster, spending less time on the mundane, non-creative work

• Uphold a high quality bar through code and design reviews

What you bring:

• 4+ years of software engineering industry experience

• Deep knowledge of React and web technologies

• Experience implementing performant UI rendering very large amounts of data

• Experience building large web app products that prioritize the end-user experience

• Comfortable building new, complete functionality independently

• Interest in AI coding tools: you may have past experience building one or strong opinions on the best ways to leverage them

• An interest in games, or even have developed your own games in Unity is a plus

We use Tauri, React, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, MobX on the frontend, and AWS services, Postgres, and Vercel AI SDK on the backend. The ideal candidate will already have experience with most of these technologies at scale.
