Bezi was founded on a simple principle:

help people create 3D experiences, fast.

When we worked together at Oculus, we were surprised by how much friction there was in the 3D design and development workflow.

Little had improved in the last 20 years.

The toolkits were a mix of tools that weren’t intended for 3D and those that were but hadn’t evolved to take advantage of any modern technology. The workflow was built — and split — to accommodate complicated tools, instead of facilitating the creativity and collaboration of people.

Bezi was founded to fix this.

To create tools that work with the designers and developers creating the future of 3D games and apps, making people an order of magnitude more effective at each step and bringing them together along the way.

The journey started with design.

In 2021 we began working on our Editor, a web-based canvas that people of all skill levels use today to prototype 3D scenes and interactions without code.

There was a pervasive problem that we were primed to help address: the only way to actually prototype a 3D experience was to program it in a game engine.

Our Editor gives us a deep appreciation of what should be abstracted from the game engine, what’s best left to code, and how we can modernize antiquated technical workflows.

And led to development.

This has led to Sidekick. We believe that you don’t need another game engine or another copilot, but that you would benefit most from a dedicated partner.

A partner that understands your skill level, project goals, and progress, and can combine their knowledge with all your context to help you build faster and build better — whether you’re on day 1 or a guru.

Bezi will continue to expand and evolve in service of the designers and developers that are creating the future. To make them more effective and bring people together. It’s an honor to support the individuals and teams that trust Bezi to help create compelling games and apps everyday.

We’re a group of technical, first-principles thinkers, dedicating our lives to fixing the problems that plague 3D design and development.
